Dewey College helps students to familiarize with the services that are available in order help them quickly adjust to life in Canada.
Guidance Services: Our Guidance Office provides students with information and support in order to help them reach their academic goals. When students start school, counsellors assist them to design their personal short-term or long-term study plans, to assess their abilities and interests, and to select the appropriate courses. Counsellors continually monitor the progress of students and help them adjust their selected courses, schedules, and ways or methods of learning. The overall well-being of the student is always a high priority at Dewey.
Dewey College's academic level in English teaching is well recognized by many universities currently and we are adding more every year. Counsellors can help students who do not have TOEFL marks choose one of our partner universities that would accommodate their preferred program of study.
Psychological Consulting Services:Professional psychological experts and teachers pay close attention to the psychological state of students in order to ease their homesickness and study pressure. We guide them in dealing with sensitive personal issues, disappointment, frustration and emotional issues. We ensure that our students concentrate on their studies, make full preparations for university admissions and successfully complete university in the future.
Logistics Services: Logistics services cover all aspects of study, living and entertainment. The school not only organizes various activities on a regular basis (sports, entertainment, etc.), but also provides information and services on various contests (e.g. Canadian Mathematical Olympiad Contest at the University of Waterloo, Chinese Language Talent Contest, etc.). Our Logistics Group also provides other services such as visa extension, university applications, health and doctors' appointments. Our goal is to make students free from worries so that they focus on studying and living in a foreign country.
We recognize that students must maintain a connection back home. In this regard, we maintain constant communication with parents and guardians, and issue report cards and updates to them on a regular basis.
